Team I got this chimney as upgrade in my new house since the day we bought house this has been a pain point in early weeks the damper was making sound and then dimmer stopped.
GE Team we're quite sorry to hear that your vent is loud and can understand how much of a pain that is. This vent has a sones rating of 1.5 (working speed) and 7.0 (high speed). For information about sones and vents hoods, check out this article.

THE LIGHTS WORKED THE FIRST DAY, THEN THEY QUIT WORKING. I SET UP A IN HOUSE APPT THRU THEIR WEBSITE, NO ONE SHOWED UP. SO I SET UP ANOTHER APPT FOR THE 15TH. HOPE THEY SHOW.

We like this product...the only comment I would have is I would like to have increase / decrease buttons for the fan and lights rather than cycling to the most powerful and then pressing it again turns it off!
